Weekend Short Takes: Hillary Hub

We all know that candidates and their minions
do what they can to influence the news cycle, but if you’re ever curious as to what kind of talking points Hillary Clinton’s campaign is attempting to feed the press on any given day, here’s the place to go.

Reporters have been complaining that lately Clinton
rarely takes spontaneous questions from the crowd or from reporters. Instead, it seems the staff often directs reporters to Hillary Hub for info and angles. Does it work? Track it and find out.

  • Celeste, I’d rather you not put pictures heading your posts if you keep using any of Hillary Clinton.

Her site is a place for lazy and/or partisan journalists. While reg pretends to pick a dispute with me rather than dealing with the truth, I do remember a journalist lifting a Democratic “news story” word-for-word into his article.

Does her tactic work? Not with good journalists, but it works with most.

  • Excuse me. Which Presidential candidates that are boni fide – that is have a chance of getting their party’s nomination – take any question yelled at them?

Pols know better and the Clintons, in particular, know the ropes. Get a different press and you might get a different candidate but given our media a wannabee has to be nuts to talk to these guys.
