Yeah, CA is all good. But…. The Repubics took the House in a big way. More congressional seats gained than any other time since 1948.
We have our extremists like Rob and Reg to thank for that.
You know, the guys who said the Repubic party was dead.
I tried to tell them, but they wouldn’t have any of it. People are tired of their brand of politics, the extremist partisanship and the labeling anybody who doesn’t agree with them as racist/crazy/sexist, yada yada yada.
Too many Democrats played that game, and now we’ve lost the House.
We’ll now have gridlock. Not a damn thing will get done.
We’re not doing too good in Governor’s races either. UGH!!!!!

WASHINGTON – Republicans on Tuesday captured from Democrats governorships in at least seven states, including some prime presidential battlegrounds, and hoped for even more statehouse gains.
The same tide sweeping Republicans into office in Congress was leaving its mark on governors’ mansions as well, especially in the nation’s industrial heartland.
Seems to me Republicans did just fine labeling their opposition as racist, crazy, sexist, and much more. A lot of the tea partiers, who many Republican candidates were influence by, particularly Rand Paul, feel liberals are racist in the reverse racist sense, and accuse liberals of being racist for supporting programs that help minorities.
Republicans have written the book on labeling their political opposition crazy. Goes back to Lee Atwater. Karl Rove was masterful at it. Still is, as I believe Rove is still heavily active in Republican strategy.
Republicans today accuse liberals of being sexist, too. Like with race, they believe liberals are reverse sexist, giving advantages to women not afforded to men, etc. The tea party Republican agenda certainly uses “reverse sexism” to motivate their base.
I’ve been seeing a lot of sports analogies in here to describe what happened yesterday. Democrats were ahead in the first few innings, then blew it, etc. Well, if we’re going to use sports as an example, shouldn’t the losers start doing what the winners do? Seems to me the Democrats just aren’t doing as good of a job as Republicans alienating and labeling their opposition. Because, again, it was a winning gameplan for Republicans this year.
“Fox is calling California for both Democrat Jerry Brown in the governor race and Democrat Barbara Boxer in the Senate race.”
