I worked with Olmstead back in 1980. hell of a Cop who worked very hard. Speed up to 2010 and they are saying that the 3000 boys are uncontollable and they Lt Gonzales cant handle them. I feel sorry for the Lt. who is intimidated by deputies. Now a picture is printed in the times with a picture of six 3000 bodies at the Christmas Party where they screwed up royally. the statement Miss Celeste made is that they had to break a bone to get inked. they were tried and convicted. Celeste if I can show you a picture of all the deputies in the photo you showed labelling them as gangsters displaying there lower extemities showing no 3000 tattoo would you retract your story. if i can prove that 3000 has no such tattoo will you apologize to the deputies will you apologize and maybe get the times to follow suit.

Come on Celeste you have the picture on your web site and get comments everyday and it is all a lie. I agree deputies used too much force sometimes but to single out a group and then give a forum for people comment is ridiculous. Will you show the picture on your website. You showed the deputy with the bar code on his neck claiming it was a 3000 tattoo, but in reality it was a Halloween costume and was drawn on. You get people all riled up, but when you find outits a lie, you never try to correct the mistake with the same enthusiasm you do when you want to kill them. I know, it was done to me 1979 shot an armed robber 33 and just out of prison. The times showed his picture the next day. Not the guy I shot all doped up but his high school football team photo and now the community thinks it was a poor young man. I only wish this was England where you could be sued for writing rhetoric because you would be homeless.
The truth says is just a puppet of the organization. If you don’t like what Celeste writes, leave. No one is forcing your hand on the keyboard.
The 3000 boys are a disgrace to the department and gone. Read the new O.I.R. report, page 75. Here the link to the whole report . The 3000 boys won’t be getting an apology from anyone. Capt. Donovan’s little golf lessons even made it in to this report. It’s clear we have some issues.

To are you kidding me. Whether you think they are a disgrace to the department or not. You don’t know the truth. In this forum it was said that 3000 boys broke a bone to get the tattoo, and it showed a picture of a bar code on the back of a deputies neck. This is not a fact. There is no 3000 tattoo and the bar code was drawn on at a Halloween party. Stop throwing all the bull out there. Please stay with facts. All these things can be proven. And when Lt. Says the 3000 boys are out of control then he should never been made a Lt. In fact he should be a gardener or something if he can’t put a few punks in their place. I would be glad to show anyone who wants to see a picture of all the 3000 boys you basically executed in this forum stating they have broken bones to get 3000 tattoos on their legs. This picture will show you all the men and women in your photo in a bathing suit displaying no such 3000 tattoo. Oh I forgot the news and times and forums like this never have to speak the truth. Just read your link. Oh my god deputy forgot to qualify wow put him in sate prison. Lying on police report agreed fire him. Where is the 30000 tattoo you all talk about. I did not see it in the report. Weak supervisors is the problem. Any supervisor should be fired for saying he can’t control some young deputy with 4 years on the job.

The ACLU will be the first one to represent these deputies when they sue for character assassination when the real story is told. Anything to sell papers and get you an audience. Are you kidding me. You must be crazy read the whole report. Sleeping on duty, dating an inmate upon release. No where in the report does it state 3000 boys. Only 25 percent were force. DUI was the most prevalent which I am sure you or one of your family members have driven a little to high at least once in your life. You are a fool

About that bar code “tattoo” photo, that was KTLA’s and frankly we all took their word for it, that they’d vetted that photo properly. If you know otherwise, about that and related issues, I’d like to know.
Our aim is to shine a light on legitimate wrongdoing in order to precipitate reform. However, most deputies in the LASD are hardworking admirable people. The last thing we want to do is to harm any of them inadvertently.

If I show you legit evidence that there is no 3000 tattoo and and the reports of broken bones to be a myth, will you put it on your blog. It’s funny how only you took me up on my offer because all the disgruntled cops would have to identify themselves as the phones they are. You have one Los Angeles sheriff that I know is writing ten to twenty blogs a day under different names. They will never identify themselves becaus they are liars. Crybabys who couldn’t supervise young deputies. They were and are weak people that should have chose a different profession. Wow I am sure glad you are out there to keep the bad guys in check. Those are policy violations, not criminal actions. Show me a criminal action of breaking bones and tattooed neo nazi organizations. Hey please do your homework before you speak. One quarter of the people you say have Viking and reaper tattoos don’t. And you forgot Black officers in a neo nazi group wow never knew that, because I know at least 15 who are inked. And by the way, I was never inked although I was asked twice. And if it’s such a select tight group, why do some deputies have two and three different station tattoos. Not a secret club, just proud of where they work. Firestone, I didn’t write the report. The office of Indepent review write it based on reports completed by internal affairs. As far as your 3000 boys ,I never talked about tattoos or breaking bone in my post. Yes, I stand by my statement that these guys are a disgrace. To get in a fight with your fellow deputies and punch a female deputy in the face, does that follow our core values? I’m sorry you have so much bitterness toward our department. 99% of the deputies I work with give 110% everyday to this job.

Hey are you kidding me, I love this department a lot more than you and have spent more time changing my uniforms than you have in the whole department. So all the 3000 boys did was a fight at a party and slap a female. Ok I believe that is childish behavior but it happens at plenty of units east Los Angeles has the meld where disputing cops fight in a ring. Firestone had the basement and the south forty. Please stop crying you obviously were treated badly by some C.J. Deputies because you have major hostility. This forum had hundreds of comments on the 3000 tattoo that does not exist. Go to patrol then talk to me. If you had any guts show up with Celeste when we meet. I am not afraid to show my face. You probably have 16 different names on this blog. Pony up I will meet you anywhere to discuss some of the departments problems. I don’t care who knows who I am but I am sure you won’t step up.
Re: Firestone Park 1980, you seem to have worked yourself up in a lather about defending the 3000 boys. Their conduct was regretable and brough discredit to the department, but that is all from what I know. Mr. Viking tattoo Tanaka, on the other hand, is a whole different story. Telling people to work the grey and ignoring the chain of command has very grave consequences. Gutting the civil service system and creating a political patronage system has grave consequences. Misapropriating public funds has grave consequences.
What Sheriff Moonbeam and Tall Paul have done is damage the brand name of the department, one that took over a hundred years to develop. I am willing to bet even recruitment is sufferring because few people on the department want to recommend this place for their family and friends to work. I’m sure there is a notable exception for all the clowns in the PT cruiser, obviously. Likewise, the public is well aware of the rampant corruption and incompetence within the organization, not exactly attractive recruitment tools.

Judging from the below comment, and others, the Sheriff’s have a long history of sexism, racism and corruption. This is nothing that started recently, or with the current Sheriff.

Sure thing Further to Follow, lets go back to the lilly white Sherman Block days. Those were great times. Blacks and hispanics couldn’t get hired or promoted. If they did get hired they were stuck in Youth Athletic League and other community relations positions. There were no executives of color or women executives.
Women couldn’t get hired or promoted. They were thought of as too weak to work patrol. They were put in desk jobs and told they would get killed working a patrol assignment. Women were refused promotions. A federal judge had to take over hiring because Block and his handpicked white department wouldn’t give women promotions.

The biggest arrest of department personnel in the history of the department took place during the arco narco corruption operations. Deputies were stealing, calling in false calls to stations and shooting pregnant women. The use of force was out of control. People were getting beat on a daily basis. You want to talk about jail force. Booking front at IRC was called beating front back then. No reports were even filled out for use of force.
The good old days were not good for the department or the community at large.”
All this talk of the 3000 floor deputies. What about the 2000 floor deputies who were doing the same things minus beating colleagues at a Christmas party?
Your hired, you are half right. There were 2000 floor tattoos back in the year 2000. All the drama that has been said happened between 7 and 10 years ago. As to the 3000 boys no such thing. The bar code tattoo was a Halloween costume, and not one 3000 floor deputy has a tattoo. All the boys in the picture that is on the blog which states they broke a bone to get their ink is complete bull. None of the men in the picture have a tattoo.. I tried to prove it to the times, and KTLA, but they won’t respond to me. Thank goodness Celeste told me she would take down the photo or at least put up the real one. I will meet with anyone to disprove the 3000 floor theory. They are blaming the wrong generation of deputies. Just get the story straight, that is all I ask. Print what is fact not sensational bull thanks.
