Awesome. Leon Russell and the Shelter People is an all time favorite. Added to the greats (IMO) Dr. John & Tom Waites, this is a pretty eclectic group. And I’ll never forget the time Alice Cooper had a helicopter bomb the Hollywood Bowl with 5000 pairs of paper panties during a show there.
Agreed, Jim. Leon Russell was—and is—pretty incredible.
Ha! Love the Alice Cooper story. Darlene Love is a stellar inductee too.
But, simply speaking personally, I have both Dr. John’s and Tom Waits’s coded into my DNA by this time, I’ve listened to them so much, particularly Waits.
