An out of control fight has jumped off at the LA Metropolitan Detention Center, a federal detention facility that houses both men and women near downtown LA at 535 N Alameda Street. Those charged with federal crimes are held at MDC, including immigration violators awaiting deportation.
The fight began about 7 p.m. And, although it was reported under control by the MDC’s media people by around 9, when I spoke to an officer at the facility at 11:20 p.m., he said, “We still have a situation.” He did not define matters further.
In the beginning anyway, the fight involved 10 people. Four staff members were injured, including two who were hospitalized, although the latter’s injuries were not reported to be serious.
Prison is a microcosm of society. So, what’s happening in society right now that would fire people up in prison? Think Arizona…
I’ll bet it had nothing to do with Arizona.
Yet you offer no idea of your own. Happy trolling.
SNS, That was a personal attack. You’re bringing interesting commentary here. Don’t blow it.
This is a warning. (And please do not over post. The ratio is edging up.)

I realize it’s your blog Celeste but why did you ban Ron and than let him back?
I just saw you address this on the other thread. Since Rob isn’t here can I can bash him at will right?
This morning, Rob made himself undeniably evident and now he’s banned on a more permanent basis. I erred on the generous side. I won’t again.
