Electricity Out, Posting Before Noon (okay, make that soonish after) – UPDATED

This is only a highly personal theory, but I’m convinced that Topanga has more incidents of trees (and/or drunk flatlanders) taking out more power lines and/or power poles in than any town west of the Mississippi.

(I’m sure others would dispute this perception as extremely unprovable and likely unsupportable—but, really, what do they know?)

This time it was Julie-the-neighbor’s giant eucalyptus that fell across the street into Antonia-the-neighbor’s yard—taking with it the power lines and sparking a small but nasty-looking fire that, thankfully, was put out quickly as there was no wind.

Ah, Topanga.

The power’s back up now and I will be posting shortly—after I have lots more coffee.

There is much to talk about…..Federal court drama…..that sexual harassment issue with one of the city’s gang agencies…. and more.

UPDATE: APPARENTLY I LIED..….. It’s nearly 2:30 p.m., and I have to leave for me a meeting right now and my post isn’t quite finished. Thus I won’t actually be posting until late tonight. But the story will be a good one.
