And my favorite tweet of the day is:
1. Jerry Brown bragging that he’s gotten the lead out–—of Astroturf and other plastic-ish artificial “turfs.” (Who knew there was a need? But whatever. I’m sure this is good. Go, Jer!) Exact tweet: “Get the lead out!” (Not terribly original but to the point.)
2. Okay, but that TWEET isn’t the good tweet. The good tweet came two hours later when he wished his dog happy birthday—with a link to said dog, whose name is Dharma Brown.
The exact wording is: “Happy Birthday to Dharma Brown – 14 years old today. She’s our attack dog, but a very sweet one.”
And here is the link to Dharma, who indeed looks like a very sweet dog-–even if a bit anxious about what she’s supposed to do for the silly man holding that flashy-clicky thing, telling her to “Look up here, Look up here! Whosagoogirl?!”
I nearly sent him a photo of my fifteen year old dog, Loup-Loup, but got a grip on myself.
Maybe I should reconsider.
PS: No, this is not a social issue. It’s a dog issue.
What no comments?? Now you don’t like DOGS?? First it’s inner city schoolkids, now its canines! I won’t get all Mary Cummins on ya, but what the Hell? Lets show a little interest in man’s (and wm.’s) best friends, huh? OK I know. Ol Moonbeam Jerry Brown is maybe a little too over the top for even the creme brulee of the liberal set, but it’s just a dog. Man I say Hippy Birthday to Dharma and woof-woof to Loup-Loup too.
